International Volunteer Recognition Day Celebrated in Dublin

On International Volunteer Recognition Day 2026, the Church of Scientology & Community Centre of Dublin hosted the 6th edition of its Dublin annual HELP Awards, recognising individuals and organisations whose work has supported communities across Ireland. Volunteers, community leaders, human rights advocates and changemakers gathered for the event, which also welcomed previous honourees.

The keynote address was delivered by previous awardee Frank Allen, a playwright, director and former Dublin Prisons teacher. Awardees included Walk And Talk with Stephen Brennan, the Kurdish Community of Ireland with Mokthar Moradi, the Indonesian-Irish Association with Irene Murphy, Scoil Rince Ní Áogain with Denise Egan, Nicolae Dulea, Joseph Orgin and Feljose Shristeca, Stefano Bonvini, Mohammed Rashid from Safco Fine Foods, Mass Events Ireland, Dr. Mahesh Baj and Neera Baj.

Founded in 2019 by the Scientology Volunteer Ministers, the HELP Awards recognise people and organisations making a difference through volunteer action. They also reflect the broader mission of the Scientology Volunteer Minister programme, created by author and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard, whose trained volunteers offer practical help in communities and during times of crisis. The ceremony underscored the importance of community action and volunteer service in strengthening society. Read the full article at Scientology Europe.
